چکیده
Objective: Obesity is associated with many diseases, including urinary system disorders such as chronic kidney disease and overactive bladder syndrome. Myrtus communis L. (MC) extract has been reported to have antioxidant anti-inflammatory effects. The aim of this study was investigate the protective effects MC on high-fat diet (HFD)-induced damage. Materials Methods: Wistar albino male rats were divided into three experimental groups: control, HFD HFD+MC. Experimental groups fed a standard (control group) or (HFD HFD+MC groups) for 16 weeks. (100 mg/kg) administered group orally during last 4 weeks (5 days/week) experiment. Highdensity lipoprotein, total cholesterol, triglyceride leptin levels measured in blood serum. Tissue malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) myeloperoxidase (MPO) evaluated biochemically. Kidney morphology, NADPH oxidase-2 (NOX-2) nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-ҡB)-positive apoptotic cells histologically. Results: Lipid profiles altered increased MDA, 8-OHdG MPO GSH level decreased group. Moreover, degenerated NOX-2 NF-ҡB-positive observed All these biochemical histological parameters ameliorated Conclusion: HFD-induced obesity causes damage by oxidative inflammatory processes. may reduce stress inflammation play role obesity-related

Sesamin Ameliorates High-Fat Diet–Induced Dyslipidemia and Kidney Injury by Reducing Oxidative Stress
The study explored the protective effect of sesamin against lipid-induced renal injury and hyperlipidemia in a rat model. An animal model of hyperlipidemia was established in Sprague-Dawley rats. Fifty-five adult Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups. The control group was fed a standard diet, while the other four groups were fed a high-fat diet for 5 weeks to induce hyperlipidemia....
متن کاملMagnolia Extract (BL153) Ameliorates Kidney Damage in a High Fat Diet-Induced Obesity Mouse Model
Accumulating evidence demonstrated that obesity is a risk factor for renal structural and functional changes, leading to the end-stage renal disease which imposes a heavy economic burden on the community. However, no effective therapeutic method for obesity-associated kidney disease is available. In the present study, we explored the therapeutic potential of a magnolia extract (BL153) for treat...
متن کاملHigh Amylose Resistant Starch Diet Ameliorates Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Progression of Chronic Kidney Disease
Inflammation is a major mediator of CKD progression and is partly driven by altered gut microbiome and intestinal barrier disruption, events which are caused by: urea influx in the intestine resulting in dominance of urease-possessing bacteria; disruption of epithelial barrier by urea-derived ammonia leading to endotoxemia and bacterial translocation; and restriction of potassium-rich fruits an...

Objective: Toxic effects of acrylamide on body organs incline researches to prevent or decrease these effects. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effects of cinnamon extract (CE) supplementation on inflammation and oxidative stress induced by acrylamide in rats. Materials and Methods: Thirty two rats were divided into four groups as fo...
متن کاملEthanol Extract from Ulva prolifera Prevents High-Fat Diet-Induced Insulin Resistance, Oxidative Stress, and Inflammation Response in Mice
Ulva prolifera is the major causative species in the green tide, a serious marine ecological disaster, which bloomed in the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea of China. However, it is also a popular edible seaweed and its extracts exerts anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. The present study investigated the effects of ethanol extract of U. prolifera (EUP) on insulin sensitivity, inflammatory r...
